Trusted electricians in Corsham MAKE MISTAKES!

It's true. I'm a trusted electrician in Corsham and Bath and I too make mistakes. I've had a few people message me about smoke alarms recently and it;s because I've been changing some of my 'behind the scenes/back-end' systems and I've recently added the best part of 800 people in to my new system not realising that I accidentally put them in to an electrical safety tips email campaign. DOH!
One of the first emails in this campaign is about smoke alarms and how to check your smoke alarms are working properly, it wasn't until I was getting emails from people asking me to replace their smoke alarms that I had realised my mistake. Anyway, that's why I'm writing this right now. Some of the people that have emailed in just asking me to check their smoke alarms are doing so because they never new that their smoke alarms expire. You heard me right, just like your fruit and veg, your smoke alarms have an expiration date! Well, it's more a 'replace by' date. It depends on the manufacturer but generally your smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years and again, depending on the brand of alarms you have, there will either be a sticker with the replace by date on the side of the alarm or you'll have to remove it from the ceiling and check the back.
I won't get in to the details of owning a rental property by landlords need to ensure they have working and in date smoke alarms in their properties too!
When was the last time you check your smoke alarms are working?
