Do you use your 'big light'?

How many of you still use the 'big light' in your lounge?

Electricians in Corsham are often are constantly carrying out lighting upgrades to peoples homes and many years ago lighting sockets for lamps used to be quite popular and I think they're starting to get used more. I've even put them in to my own house when carrying out my own home re-wiring.

I don't know about you but I find having the 'big light' on can be distracting and harsh. When I'm either working or relaxing I much prefer having side lamps/floor lamps on which are conveniently controlled by a normal wall light switch.

Don't get me wrong, I still have some recessed LED spotlights in my lounge on a dimmer switch but they rarely get used, I would say they're usually used when hoovering but with a robot vacuum that's rarely the case these days!

With so many options for LED lighting too there's lots of ways you can add ambience to your lounge lighting.

So, do you use the big light?
